The shipping division began operation in 1978 as steamer agents for Maldives Shipping Company, the national shipping line of Maldives. The company went on to act as steamer agents for Ceylon Shipping Corporation in the ports of Cochin, Mangalore, Tuticorin and Chennai from 1982 to 1998 and agents for United States Lines Inc. USA from 1985 to 1988 in the ports of Cochin, Chennai, Tuticorin and Mangalore. The division are the agents for the Thames Shipping Ltd. London since 1989 and the steamer agents for Hyundai Merchant Marine, the shipping wing of the multinational industrial giant, Hyundai Corporation South Korea, in the ports of Cochin, Madras, Tuticorin, Mangalore, Goa, Vizag & ICDs of Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore.

Choice Intermodal Services ( CIS ), The current agency arm of the Shipping Division was formed in 1995 to exclusively represent Hyundai Merchant Marine Company Ltd ( HMM ) of South Korea for their global container cargo service. Now CIS, as agents, represents HMM in South India covering all ports and ICDs except Chennai.
